Students from S.2A visited the Court of the Final Appeal not only for enriching their understanding of the judicial system in Hong Kong but also for an architectural appreciation as the renovation works, designed by Architectural Services Department of the HKSAR Government, is awarded the Hong Kong Institute of Architects Annual Awards 2015 - Medal of the Year of Hong Kong & Special Architectural Award - Heritage and Adaptive Reuse. While most the areas of the CFA Building are generally restricted and not open to the public, students were lucky enough to have a guided visit to the Architectural Heritage Gallery, the Library, the Exhibition Gallery, two of the Court Rooms and had an inspiring and thought-provoking sharing with the Deputy High Court Judge S.T. Poon Tony (高等法院-潘兆童暫委法官) on court cases and legal viewpoints. What is even more blessed is that the Senior Judiciary Executive, Ms. Frieda Leung, is the past student of OLC and therefore she has not only taken us on an eye-opening tour round the CFA Building but has also given the little sisters a heart-warming chat about learning and school life. It is immensely grateful to know that part of this award winning historical building is renovated with the contribution by Our Ladian as the multi-media interactive Exhibition Gallery was indeed initiated and designed by Frieda.
