“Love and Life” Themed Workshop and Life Sharing Stories by Mr So Wa Wai

The "Love and Life " theme workshop by CMAC aims to enhance students' positive value. Through activities, speakers shared the value of life in God's creation. Moreover, Mr So Wa Wai was invited to share his life experiences. He is a retired athlete from Hong Kong who has competed in the Paralympic Games on five occasions, winning 12 medals. He encouraged OLC students to unleash their potential and pursue a fulfilling life. Through his real stories, students can find inspiration and cherish life.

Visit to "Art Hong Kong 2024," exploring art forms and inspiring creativity through Eastern and Western traditions.

Event Planning and management skills workshop

To enhance the leadership, organization, and event management skills of student leaders, the Student Leadership Development Team has organized workshop to instill leadership skills in them and improve their abilities in event management, communication, and self-awareness. Through various games and group discussions, student leaders learn teamwork as well as event planning and management skills.

 

Farewell S6 Student

As the last school day for S.6 approaches, the Student Association organized a farewell assembly for all S.6 students. The event reflected on the highlights of campus life and included motivational video messages from teachers and schoolmates. The  Student Association also presented personalized keychain name tags as graduation gifts. Additionally, they decorated the campus with boards and banners showing encouraging messages to the S.6 students, and held a busking lunch event, allowing everyone to share unforgettable moments together.

S3 Visit to the Space Museum

Students embarked on an exciting field trip to the Space Museum, buzzing with anticipation. As they arrived, the towering rockets and stunning exhibits filled them with awe. The guided tour began with an engaging introduction to the history of space exploration, where students learned about pioneering astronauts and groundbreaking missions. They were particularly fascinated by the interactive displays, which allowed them to simulate a moon landing and experience the challenges of zero gravity. The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the planetarium show, where they marveled at the wonders of the universe, from distant galaxies to the intricate dance of the planets. As the day concluded, students left the museum inspired and eager to explore the mysteries of space further, sharing their favorite moments and newfound knowledge with one another.

Global Perspectives: Racial Inclusion Workshop

In this workshop, cultural ambassadors introduced games that showcase the unique characteristics of minority cultures and participated alongside the students. These activities not only brought joy to the students but also enhanced their understanding of multiculturalism, allowing them to gain a deeper appreciation of Hong Kong's rich cultural diversity. Furthermore, the cultural ambassadors shared their personal growth experiences and the challenges they faced, helping students learn to understand and embrace different cultures.

Thanksgiving Day 2025

The Student Association organized a warm and lively Thanksgiving event. Students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to teachers, staff, and parents through speeches, songs and dance performances. Students also prepared thoughtful gifts for the teachers to express their appreciation. Additionally, with the Lunar New Year approaching, the Students' Association specially prepared festive songs and distributed candies to send best wishes to both students and teachers.

 

‘Mysteries of Metals’ Steam Workshop(Chow Sang Sang Precious Metal Testing Laboratory)

The Gifted Education Group and the Chemistry Department invited Chow Sang Sang Precious Metal Testing Laboratory to conduct 3 themed workshops, primarily focusing on exploring the mysteries of metals. The topics included ‘Alchemy’, ‘Silverware Restoration’ and ‘Gold Panning Experience’. Students combined their knowledge of chemistry to learn about theories related to metals, such as the principles of electrolysis for gold plating, redox reactions of silver, and methods for the extraction of metals. After the theoretical classes, students conducted experiments together, helping them understand that effective learning requires a balance of theory and practice, while also experiencing the joy of completing experiments.

Chinese Culture Day

Teachers and classmates held New Year’s Eve stalls in the school playground to promote Chinese culture and welcome the Year of the Snake together.
