Our Lady's College

The Visual Arts Department arranged Form 5 Visual Arts elective students to visit Lei Yue Mun for an outdoor sketching activity. Students explored various locations in Lei Yue Mun, including the Seafood Street, Lei Yue Mun Lighthouse, Tin Hau Temple, and Lei Yue Mun Quarry landmarks. Through photography and sketching, students captured the beauty of these places, deepened their understanding of Lei Yue Mun's history, developed appreciation for historical artifacts and culture, and broadened their artistic perspective and creativity.

The Gifted Education Team holds its annual general meeting in November each year. This year, the number of student members has reached 60. In the general meeting, students from different forms who excel academically, along with members from the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education, gathered together to learn about the group's mission and expectations. They also gained the updated information about training opportunities and development trends related to gifted education, fostering a stronger sense of identity and belonging among the student members.

Students participated in a 2-day1-night inter-school leadership camp as part of the "Future Leaders Development Program." The program aims to enhance students' personal growth and civic awareness through various problem-solving challenges. Participants developed essential skills including listening, communication, teamwork, planning, confident expression, and decision-making. The valuable experience gained will be applied to future volunteer work, preparing them to become future leaders.

The alumni association invited alumni to share their life experiences with current S.6 students, encouraging them to unleash their potential and pursue a fulfilling life. Through these real stories, students can find inspiration and courage to face future challenges.

The Gifted Education Team collaborated with the Chemistry Department to organize a workshop on "Forensic Toxicology". Through this learning activity, students integrate their chemistry knowledge and employ thematic learning methods to understand common chemical analysis techniques in science—specifically, toxicological analysis. They also learnt how to detect the presence and concentration of drugs and poisons in evidence.
