<A Time to Embrace>
With the blessings and love of God, our Open Day was held on 25th & 26th November, 2022 successfully with hundreds of students, alumnae and other visitors sharing the joy of our 70th anniversary. The parade of student leaders and blessings of Reverend Stephen Chan marked the beginning of this fun-filled event.
The Open Day showcased the many facets of the School to the general public. Booth games designed by four Houses (Faith, Hope, Love and Wisdom), art and craft workshops, fun quizzes, language activities, science experiments, STEAM demonstrations, music and dance performance, followed by an information talk introducing the curriculum and learning activities attracted large crowds, enriching their knowledge and enhancing the atmosphere of Our Lady’s College.
Our past pupils were busy revisiting their memories of their school lives by checking out our souvenirs counter, taking photos at check-in points and having reunion chats with their old schoolmates, teachers and Sisters.
The Open Day was a huge success with the joint effort of teachers and students who contributed their parts with great enthusiasm to celebrate the joyful event and therefore reflecting the family spirit and love of the school.
It was really a Time to Embrace. Thank you all for coming and making this an unforgettable day at OLC!
聖母書院自一九五三年創校，屹立黃大仙區七十年，一直致力為女青年服務，培養純潔仁愛的青年人，為社會作育英才。在慈愛天主的帶領下，今年是學校七十周年白金禧校慶，開放日已於十一月二十五及二十六日順利舉行。當天由聖文德堂主任司鐸陳滿鴻神父主持祝禱禮，為開放日揭開序幕，來賓、校友、師生一同分享校慶的喜悅，場面熱鬧。
開放日以「A Time to Emabrace: Truth, Love and Faith」作為主題，藉着「母佑會時間廊」介紹母佑會及學校的發展，「科學的奧妙」、「語言的魔法」、「工藝的巧思」展示校園生活樂趣。還有四社攤位遊戲，讓學生發揮創意及培養團隊協作精神。
科學的奧妙部分，本校在「科技及藝術創意室」（STEAM Room）展示了本校學生因應社會不同人士需要而創造的科技產品，希望有助提升長者、殘障人士等生活質素。本校也在科學實驗室準備了與物理學及化學相關的小實驗供來賓參觀體驗，如透過不同化學物質造成的七色火焰，以手觸碰電漿球以觀察靜電流動，內容豐富有趣，來賓都樂在其中。
語言的魔法則分為與中、英文科攤位遊戲及圖書館活動。中、英文科攤位遊戲形式多變，既考反應，亦考眼力，如「計時尋找錯別字」，來賓皆覺得緊張刺激，也表示沒想過中文可以如斯有趣，亦覺有所得益。圖書館以河流為主題，設計富心思，與來賓一同探索神秘的海洋世界，讓他們透過書籍了解世界上的著名河流，拓寬眼界。
工藝的巧思設置學生作品展覽及手工藝製作。製作精美的擴香石成品，吸引不少來賓參與，創作一塊屬於自己、獨一無二的擴香石。木藝攤位亦讓來賓發揮創意，將本來平平無奇的小木條，變成精妙的日常物品，如電話座、小型收納盒、裝飾品等。
聖母書院七十周年開放日得以圓滿舉行，實在有賴全校師生的共同努力，這亦充分體現聖母書院這個大家庭的團結互愛精神。當天，校園內滿載笑聲，溫情洋溢，來賓、校友、師生一同見證本校創校七十年的喜悅。
