Organized by the Engineering Department of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, the "new-energy car week" is a representative annual solar car competition for secondary school students in Hong Kong. It aims to give students an opportunity to "get started" and give them a hands-on experience, from theory to practice, from design and assembly to field testing, and finally design a unique solar car to run on the track. Among them, a series of activities with the theme of technology, learning, innovation and engineering were organized to allow the younger generation to explore how to make good use of new energy. The event also provided a platform for students to try applying the knowledge they have learned and participate in innovative projects, thereby inspiring scientific research.
